This program ascending the Cotopaxi and Chimborazo Volcanoes is designed to allow time to discover many of the marvels that Ecuador offers, as you are becoming acclimated to the height. First we will visit the Otavalo artisanal market where you will experience firsthand the culture and handicraft of the Otavalenos. After that we will climb some of the nearby mountains, including the Pasochoa and North Iliniza, here you will be amazed by the unique characteristics of these two mountains, including their rocky walls, sands and highlands. These mountains will serve as practice for our climbing goal, the Cotopaxi and Chimborazo Volcanoes. Next we will spend time camping at the Cotopaxi National Park in a beautiful location near the Santo Domingo Lagoon. While we are here we will have the opportunity to mountain bike near the volcanic zone. Finally we will reach our mountaineering goal: summiting the Cotopaxi and Chimborazo Volcanoes.

After our climbing experience, the tour will continue at the Galapagos Islands. These islands have been voted the world’s best island get away by Travel & Leisure Magazine (2010).
