DAY 1: Travel to Santa Elena de Uairen
We depart Caracas in the afternoon via bus, and head to Santa Elena de Uairen. We arrive by mid-morning the next day.

DAY 2: Off-road vehicle ride and departure preparations
We ride via 4x4 from Santa Elena de Uairén to the community of Parei-tepuy. We prepare for the start of our trek the next day.

DAY 3: Begin trekking to "The Españoles" cave
We begin trekking through the jungle to our first camp at "The Españoles" cave.

DAY 4: Continue trek, passing through the rain forest
We continue our trek, passing through the rain forest and up through giant rocks before reaching Kukenan's summit where we camp in "Los Hoteles."

DAY 5: Begin to cross the Tepuy
We begin to cross the Tepuy from east to west passing through labyrinths of rock and tea colored rivers until reaching the border of the Great Crevice. Along the way we will enjoy and take in the spectacular view of Yuruani, Wadakapipue, Ilú and Tramen Tepuys.

DAY 6: Relax and explore the crevice
We will spend a day relaxing and exploring the natural beauty of the crevice and its surroundings.

DAY 7: Begin return trip
We will begin our return trip and depart from our camp at The Crevice to our camp at Los Hoteles.

DAY 8: Early morning hike to the Tek River
Early morning hike to the Tek river, passing through Kukenan River to reach Parai-tepuy. There, we take a 4x4 transport to Santa Elena de Uairen for an overnight stay in a Posada (Guesthouse).

We will depart from Santa Elena de Uairén at noon for Caracas.
