Are you an adventure traveler with a tale to tell? Or an expert on, say, packing for a bicycle tour or staying healthy in those challenging places? We’d like to share your experience, your expertise, with AvidBlog’s readers.
What are we looking for? Stories about the places AvidTrips travels. You don’t have to have booked an AvidTrip — if you’ve been in the region or had an adventure similar to those that are bookable via AvidTrips, we’d like to hear your ideas. We’re also looking for solid advice for adventurers of all stripes, novice to expert. We’d like to help people travel smarter, safer, and with a lighter spirit.
Want to submit a story? First, poke around in the AvidTrips site and see where you might have been — or might want to go. Check out the activities — are you a climber or back country biker with skills to share? Read our blog, see what we’ve run before; it will help you understand what we like. (Our editor loves World Hum, National Geographic, Wend, and Outside, if that helps you any.) Then, send email to editor at avidtrips dot com. We don’t need anything fancy, just a sentence or two about your idea. If you’ve got a blog or writing online else where, include a link or two so we can take a peek. If we like what we see, you’ll hear back with payment terms, word count restrictions, and the like.

AvidTrips is looking for a writer to intimately profile the most unique hiking trails around the world. The list should be as international and diverse as possible. Where are these trails, why are they so unique, and what are some popular routes? Each trail mentioned should be described briefly with difficulty levels and length. We are particularly interested in trails that are challenging, adventurous and exotic.

Argentina offers a wide range of activities for the adventure traveler from horseback riding, rafting to hiking and skiing. AvidTrips is looking for a round up of 10 adventure trip ideas along with specific recommendations of local service providers. For example, if you are suggesting a rafting trip, we would like to get the name and the website of a local provider that offers that unique rafting trip. We are looking for off the beat trips that will intrigue the avid adventure traveler.
